Vintage James Leonard School chair

Vintage James Leonard School chair

Designed in 1947 by James Leonard for the ESA (the educational supply association) this C201 children's school chair was inspired by Leonard's trip to Scandinavia.

Made from plywood and aluminium from decomissioned weapons left over from the Second World War.

These chairs were made in three different sizes and we have two available:

Large H65cm W38cm with seat height of 37cm
Small H60cm W 38cm with seat height of 32cm

Both chairs show signs of use. There are marks to the seats from stacking with small dents and paint worn away in places on the aluminium legs.

Overall they are solid and beautiful vintage pieces ready for use.
